Residents who play bingo in Spalding, Lincolnshire, have raised thousands of pounds for charity, according to a newspaper.
A massive £6,500 will be handed to organisations working nearby including Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn, Spalding Today says.
The money was raised by locals from Sutton Bridge and Long Sutton enjoying bingo game play at Long Sutton Church Hall.
Every Thursday and Saturday, fans head to the hall to enjoy a game at the event which is organised by Hazel Phillipo.
She told the newspaper: "The bingo sessions give many people a night out and a chance to meet friends and acquaintances.
"The fact that we can raise money and give good donations to excellent organisations is an added bonus."
Meanwhile, Cornish newspaper the Packet reports that a weekly bingo night held at Redruth's Royal British Legion has also raised money for charity.
Redruth St Johns Ambulance, Redruth Rugby Juniors, the Royal British Legion and Penoweth Primary school will all benefit, according to the publication.
