The chance to play bingo was high on the agenda for students in Neasden, as they helped some local elderly residents enjoy their Christmas party, the Kilburn Times reports.
Students aged between 12 and 16 from the John Kelly Boys' Technology College played bingo and board games during their lunch break with some elderly dementia sufferers.
The pupils host a drop in centre every Thursday for the Friends of African/Caribbean Carers and Sufferers of Dementia charity.
School principal Sandy Young told the paper: "Having this group every week is of real importance.
"They benefit and our boys are just magnificent and have come to learn how to be helpful and at ease with the older generation."
The sessions also help the youngsters develop their understanding of dementia and how to best deal with sufferers of the illness.
Earlier this month, the Sheffield Star reported that a school in Rotherham invited some local elderly people in for the afternoon to enjoy some bingo, free food and other entertainment.
