Bingo game play sessions are being used to raise money for good causes in the north-east, it has been reported.
Annette King and Scott Mills told the Sunderland Echo that people will have the chance to play bingoat a charity night organised to raise money for Sunderland Royal Hospital's neo-natal unit, where their 17-hour old son Kaine passed away last year.
Explaining the couple's desire to do something for the hospital, Ms King said: "They were brilliant. They did everything for us, everything they could.
"They made a very difficult time a little easier."
Meanwhile, a teenager from Durham who has a brain disorder is also set to benefit from money raised by a game of bingo as her friends and family host a fun night to give her a boost.
According to the Herald and Post, Abbi Lauren Armstrong's long-time pal Rachel Fuller is organising the evening to support her friend as she battles her disease.
Carol Armstrong, Abbi's mother, told the newspaper: "When Rachel told me she wanted to raise money for Abbi I was thrilled because it shows just how much she means to everybody."
