Bingo and speed "befriending" were on the cards on Wednesday for a special Christmas treat for a group of pensioners in London.
Members of the White Lion Youth Centre in Islington cooked a dinner for a group of pensioners before indulging them in an afternoon of entertainment.
Head of the White Lion Centre, Judith Samuel, told the Islington Tribune: "These young people decided to put something back into the community by bringing the group of elderly people to the centre.
"We're going to continue into the new year with a video diary project."
Chefs at the nearby Paul's Cafe helped rustle up a feast of turkey, lamb, plantain and all the trimmings at the special event.
As well as the bingo and speed befriending, teenagers and pensioners also did a spot of karaoke as well as some poetry reading.
Islington council's executive member for children, Paula Belford, said that it was hoped the event would bring "young and old people together".
