Bingo hall staff will drop the challenge of calling out bingo numbers for climbing Mount Snowdon for charity, reports the Cheshire News.
A team from the Mecca bingo hall in Ellesmere Port will join forces with another bingo team from Wednesbury Cross to climb the Welsh mountain today and tomorrow.
The climb will hopefully raise money for the children's charity Whizz-Kidz, with 20 members taking part altogether.
Nick Debear, operations manager at Mecca Wednesbury Cross and organiser of the climb, said: "Everyone is feeling very enthusiastic and has been training hard we're expecting to raise well over £1,000, which equates to ten per cent of our overall target of £10,000 for the year.
He added that this is the sixth climb of its kind although the first on behalf of Whizz-Kidz.
Whizz-Kidz were also the beneficiaries of another charity bingo event in Breightmet, reported the Bolton News, where bingo staff cleaned cars while the owners participated in bingo game play sessions.
