A charity bingo event has been organised by a husband and wife as a way of saying thank you to MacMillan Cancer Support, reports the Lancashire Evening Post.
David and Denise Hudson from Preston are holding the event to raise money for the Macmillan nurses who supported the family when Mr Hudson's mother Barbara had terminal lung cancer.
Those looking to take advantage of this game of free money bingo need to attend the St Mary Magdalene Church Hall in Preston on December 7th.
Among the prizes on offer to winners include a family ticket to go and watch Preston North End Football Club, signed Manchester United photographs, beauty treatments and tickets for Knowsley Safari Park. Mr Hudson told the paper: "We are holding this event to say thank you to Macmillan nurses who helped me and my family through a difficult time when we found out our mum Barbara Hudson had terminal lung cancer. They were a great help."
Bingo is widely used as a fundraising activity, with the charity Action for Children organising a posh bingo night in Morecombe, the Visitor recently reported.
