Bingo luck shines on Huddersfield man |

One of the luckiest bingo players in the UK has been found in Huddersfield, as a 73-year-old man has witnessed success 88 times this year, reports the Huddersfield Examiner.
Brian Parker has clocked up more than £10,000 in winnings at the Mecca Bingo hall in Folly in the past 12 months, with one run seeing him victorious six times in a single evening.
The former bricklayer told the paper: "I've always been lucky. I think I must have been born with a brass spoon in my mouth.
"People come up and rub me, hoping that some of the luck will rub off on them. A friend of mine said he could see a halo round my head."
However, his luck seems to run out when he ventures outside of Huddersfield to play bingo, as a recent trip to Las Vegas saw him come home empty handed.
Glasgow is seen to be the luckiest place to play bingo, as it has been the home to many National Bingo Game winners, with 16 wins belonging to just one club, the Mecca Forge.
