A bingo game play lover was celebrating this week but rather than enjoying a bingo cash prize, she had reached a landmark birthday, reports the Peterborough Today newspaper.
Hilda Sansby, who has hailed from New England, Peterborough for the past 74 years, celebrated her centenary with a birthday party with family and friends.
At the event she was chuffed to show everyone her telegram from the Queen and as an extra surprise received a card from some of the cast of her favourite television show, Coronation Street.
Ms Sansby told the newspaper: "My secret to a long life is to keep working hard and keep the grandchildren happy."
She has one daughter and two grandchildren and regularly enjoys the opportunity to play bingo and watch soaps.
However, she is not the oldest bingo game play fan as earlier this month a man from East London who likes a game of bingo celebrated his 101st birthday.
