A bingo fan has found 2008 to be a lucky year to play bingo after scooping her second jackpot in the past eight months, reports the News and Star.
The unnamed woman shared a £32,000 jackpot with her daughter in April and has now been successful on her own, to the tune of almost £22,000.
She scooped the prize while playing at the Opera Bingo Club in Whitehaven, earning the £20,000 national prize, alongside the smaller regional and club pay-outs.
The winner, who lives in Egremont, stated that her good luck was predicted by a fortune teller two years ago.
She told the newspaper: "She predicted that I would come into money and that numbers would play a big part.
"I wasn't sure whether that meant I would be lucky at bingo or on the lottery, but the family has certainly been very lucky at bingo this year."
An online bingo fan, who won £17,000 over two days of play, recently described her success as a "wonderful feeling", Wink Bingo reported.
