Bingo cash prize seekers in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire could have a new facility in which to tackle the activity after new plans have been developed to upgrade the town, according to Property Week News.
Plans have begun for a £100 million development at the Galpharm Stadium, home of the Huddersfield Giants rugby league side and League One football outfit Huddersfield Town.
The development, which will surround the stadium, incorporates a 400,000 square foot leisure complex, which will include a bingo game play facility, a ski slope, two clubs, more than 20 restaurants and a health and fitness centre, among other things.
Kirklees Stadium Development, a joint venture between Kirklees Metropolitan Council and Huddersfield Sporting Pride is funding the plans, which are being created by architects John Clark Associates.
The game of rugby league was born in Huddersfield following a meeting at the St George Hotel in the town in 1895.
Representatives from 21 clubs met to form the Northern Rugby Football Union which developed to be known as rugby league.
