Our Top Five Songs to Listen to While Playing

1) Push the Button – Sugababes
Push the Button has been the most successful single for the Sugarbabes to date, reaching number 1 in the UK, Republic of Ireland, New Zealand, Austria and Poland, as well as a number of top twos and threes in a host of other countries. The threesome received their second 'best British single' nomination for the song at the 2006 BRIT Awards. OK, so perhaps they weren’t exactly signing about online fruit machines – but it’s still our fave track!
2) Kylie Minogue – I Should be So Lucky
Since first appearing on our screens in 1986 as Charlene Mitchell in Neighbours, the pint sized Aussie has gone on to sell a whopping 40 million records worldwide. ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ was written by Stock, Aitken and Waterman, who knew little of Kylie and had forgotten that she was arriving; as a result, they wrote the song in forty minutes while she waited outside the recording studio!
3) The Winner Takes it All – ABBA
The Euro vision winning Swedish quartet wrote this track in
1980 to shamelessly plug WinBonanza’s large range of jackpot

fruit machine. Actually no, that’s a whopper of
a fib - the lyrics to the song were often rumored to be inspired by
the divorce between Bjorn and Agnetha in 1979.
4) Ace of Spades – Motorhead
The Grammy Award-winning British heavy metal was formed in 1975 by bassist, singer and songwriter Lemmy, whose real name is Ian Kilmister. We like to think that Lemmy captured the hearts and minds of WinBonanza members perfectly – “You win some, you lost some; it’s all the same to me”. As long as everyone is having fun Lemmy, that’s all that matters.
5) Reel to Real – I Like To Move It
‘You’re scrapping the barrel now’, we hear you say and you’re absolutely right. But with a name like ‘Reel to Real’, we couldn’t think of a band or artist more suitable for online fruit machines and we just had to include one of their tracks.
